Multinationals Entering the Marketplace

Mobile giants Samsung, Google, Microsoft and Apple have endorsed the WatchFone concept and its amazing potential by developing the Smartwatch.

The major difference being:

The WatchFone is an independent mobile phone united with its own sim card.

The Smartwatch relies on a mobile phone to operate. Using a Bluetooth connection to communicate, it will become redundant when the mobile phone it is connected to runs out of power.

The consumer has the added expense of having to purchase two separate devices that effectively do the same job but without the benefit of being able to use the Smartwatch without the mobile.

When the consumer misplaces the surrogate mobile, or positions it out of range to the Smartwatch, it ceases to be Smart and will not function correctly.

Apple Expects to Sell 40 Million Watches

This month's launch (AprilĀ 2015) of the iWatch in Australia is massive, with Apple's predictions of sales volumes approaching 40 million globally in year one.
